Why did I receive more than one bill?

A patient who receives services from BSA may receive more than one billing statement for those services. You will receive a hospital billing statement for the services that were rendered to you at the hospital as well as a separate bill for any radiology, cardiology, emergency room physician, anesthesia, laboratory, or other physician services.

When you receive a billing statement from a radiologist, it is normally for the reading or interpretation of an x-ray, ultrasound, MRI, etc. A billing statement from a cardiologist is normally for reading or interpretation of an EEG, EKG, stress test, etc.  A billing statement from an emergency physician is normally for the physician's examination, diagnosis and treatment of a patient while that patient was in the hospital/emergency department.

How can I pay my bill?

BSA offers several convenient ways for you to pay your bill, and accepts MasterCard, VISA, Discover and American Express credit cards.

  2. Phone - Call the Business Office at (806) 212-6006 or 1-800-535-3506 during business hours, Monday through Friday, 8a.m. and 5p.m.
  3. Mail - Follow the instructions on your bill or statement. Mail your payment to:

What if I can't pay my bill?

If you are unable to make payment in full for the amount that you owe, please contact our Business Office at (806) 212-6006 or 1-800-535-3506 and ask to speak to a Financial Counselor to make payment arrangements or discuss financial assistance.  We have many different payment plans and financial assistance options, and our financial counselors will work with you to determine if you are eligible for medical assistance or self-pay discounts.

In keeping with the mission and philosophy of BSA, we will make available charity care services (within the resources available) to financially or medically indigent patients. Charity services are provided without charge. Other levels of financial assistance may be available to patients who do not qualify for charity care services.

Can I combine my accounts and make payment arrangements?

If a patient has multiple accounts with BSA, it is necessary to have payment arrangements set up for each account individually.  Account balances cannot be combined.

If an employee chooses to use payroll deduction, a payroll deduction agreement must be set up for each qualifying account individually.
