Whether you’re a new mom or just need a refresher course, being a mom comes with lots of challenges and can be overwhelming. Let us help with some tips from registered nurses who can answer all your questions and provide you with current information on caring for your precious newborn. 

This class is held on the first Tuesday of each month.

Daddy 101

We want YOU - New and Expecting Dads!

This program is just for the guys. In this course, veteran dads give helpful information to the new recruits (fathers-to-be or if you have a baby six weeks to six months). The class is at the same time as the Mommy 101 Class.

Breastfeeding Class

If you plan to or are considering breast feeding, this is the class for you! You will learn proper techniques and positions along with some helpful suggestions for successful breast feeding during this three hour class.

Breastfeeding Support Group

The group is FREE and open to any pregnant or breastfeeding mom.

The group is led by lactation consultants Tiffany Bateman and Kathleen Boren, who offer support and expert advice to mothers as they discuss their experiences with the group. We will also have a baby scale, so we can check your baby's weight gain.

Support group is a great chance to network with other moms, and it is a great girls' night out! Please bring your baby--we love to see them grow!

Childbirth Education – Express (3-hour class)

As the birth of your baby gets closer, most birthing families have an increased amount of anxiety, fear, and lots of questions. Education is the key to decreasing the fear and anxiety. The more you know and understand about the process of labor, the better prepared you will be to choose the best option for you.

This class is designed for the expectant mother and her partner. Participants will learn:

  • That pregnancy and labor are a normal healthy occurrence
  • To trust the process and not fight contractions
  • Options available (medical and non-medical) for managing labor and pain
  • The importance of a support person for the laboring woman
     

Opportunity will be available for participants to ask questions openly of the instructor and other class members.

The more you know and understand about the process of labor, the better prepared you will be to choose the best option for you.

This class is designed for the expectant mother and her partner. Participants will learn:

  • That pregnancy and labor are a normal healthy occurrence
  • To trust the process and not fight contractions
  • Options available (medical and non-medical) for managing labor and pain
  • The importance of a support person for the laboring woman
  • Ways to shorten labor and make you more comfortable
  • Covers same information as Express class plus additional practice time including labor stations, birthing balls and relaxation techniques
     

Opportunity will be available for participants to ask questions openly of the instructor and other class members.

CPR For Parents, Families and Friends

PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED

This two-hour video-based course is for all family members to learn child CPR and AED use, infant CPR and how to relieve a choking child or infant. This class does not require a test and is excellent for parents, grandparents, babysitters and siblings. A CPR card is not given for this class. 

Cost for the class is $25 per person.
